Amsler Grid Changes (for patients with age-related macular degeneration) - The Amsler grid is a chart of vertical and horizontal lines which form a grid used to monitor age-related macular degeneration changes. In the center of the grid is a small dot on which to focus. If, when focusing on the dot, areas of the grid appear distorted (wavy) or missing entirely, Kimmel Retina Center should be notified immediately.
